Luxury Lodges to Ama Dablam Base Camp
Fantastic trek. Well organised, We really enjoyed it, had a wonderful time, and we are already considering another one with Mountain Kingdoms.Very well organised trek, well staffed, and very well run. Trek was a good pace, but not forced. Lodges were of a superior quality to those we have used previously. Overall a very personal service.
Luxury Lodges to Ama Dablam Base Camp
The accommodation was extremely good as was the guide, assistant guide and porters
Manaslu Circuit
Great trekking experience with fantastic mountain views in the company of a great guide and porter.
Hidden Valleys of Bhutan
The level of service received from Mountain Kingdoms was excellent, and I felt in safe hands. I enjoyed the freedom to visit a country that would otherwise be very difficult to reach without their expert support. Clearly Mountain Kingdoms has a unique depth of experience with regard to the Himalaya.
Everest Base Camp in Style
Personal first class service from lovely people, well done everyone, we will be back and would not hesitate to recommend. The holiday was fantastic, I thought the itinerary and acclimatisation program was spot on. Our Guide deserves a special mention, he was outstanding and saw to our every need.
Everest Base Camp in Style
Very, very efficient and well organised. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff when you ring up with queries. Fantastically efficient flight department - thank you April! The people we've trekked with on other MK trips have always been very pleasant and like-minded.
Hidden Valleys of Bhutan
The itinerary was perfect for us, the right balance between sightseeing, walking, trekking and local insights. The response from the staff in the UK was outstanding, for which Niki Morgan deserves a lot of credit for her professionalism.
Cultural Highlights of Nepal, Bhutan & Tibet
We had a very memorable adventure with experiences we will remember for along time!
Gentle trekking and luxury lodges Annapurna
A marvellous trek, the accommodation and food are excellent and we had a truly wonderful holiday. I would advise people to prepare themselves for a day of climbing stone steps on the route to Gandruk and then treat yourself to a foot massage (offered at the lodge) once you get there!
A great introduction to 3 Himalayan countries
An enjoyable trip to see the cultural highlights of Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. A little bit of trekking involved in Bhutan but well worth it to see the Tigers Nest Monastery. All the guides and drivers were helpful, knowledgeable and spoke good English. The hotels were comfortable and we enjoyed a lot of traditional food as most meals were included. Each country is predominantly Buddhist but this is interpreted differently depending on the country, so it was a fascinating insight into the slightly confusing world of Buddha (or Buddhas as I learnt there are more than one!).
Three High Passes to Everest
My second trip with MK went well. I made new friends and had a great time with them. Particularly, our great guide, one of the nicest guys I’ve met in Nepal so far. Kind and humble, but with a huge amount of experience. He’d been over all the passes at least 20 times. We trusted his advice and all felt safe with him. Also, special thanks to MK's flight manager, April for changing the Jet flights to Oman Air. That was fantastic, and I was very pleased to get home without any delays.
Three High Passes to Everest
The staff were always very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
Exceeded expectations
Everything was so well organised down to the last detail. Most of the hotels were fantastic with either lovely gardens and/ or stunning views of the Himalayas. We liked the fact that we didn't have to worry about anything and therefore just enjoy the trip. Everything including the mini buses were very comfortable and the food was very good. Both guides looked after us extremely well. Both were very professional, always on time and able to answer any questions we put to them.
Nepal & Bhutan Explorer
Being able to travel to Nepal and Bhutan without a worry as everything was arranged so efficiently. Tour leaders were excellent and listened to us if we wanted to do other things than the ones planned. I would definitely book with you again.I was very impressed by the efficiency of all the staff involved in organising and leading my trip. Well done Mountain Kingdoms.
Dana Trek to Petra
I enjoyed the Mountain Kingdoms philosophy of using less crowded routes and supporting local enterprise and culture.
Luxury Lodges to Ama Dablam Base Camp
Generally excellent. As with all group walking holidays they are going to attract walkers of differing abilities. The more detailed information/ grading of walks that can be provided would be most helpful to all.
Mera Peak - successful summit on 11 April 2019
Fantastic experience with Mountain Kingdoms! We had a party of 4, all of whom summitted Mera Peak on 11 April 2019. We had an excellent guide and team looking after us, changes to the itinerary and route that were made necessary due to heavy snowfall were dealt with smoothly and professionally. A good overview of our acclimatisation progress was kept by our guide, to gauge our readiness for the summit attempt. We were provided good food, snacks and hot drinks, even on the trail. The support of the local organisation was superb and we all thoroughly enjoyed our trip.
Hidden Valleys of Bhutan - highly recommended
Having always harboured a desire to travel to Bhutan, but lacking the confidence to face the bewildering set of rules required to enter and stay in the country, we used Mountain Kingdoms to arrange the trip for us. Travelling as a couple, we joined a group of eight. The whole experience, from first contacting Mountain Kingdoms to arriving back from the trip, was excellent. Mountain Kingdoms adapted to our relatively late addition to the tour and gave sound advice as we prepared to travel. In-country, the quality of the itinerary was excellent and the expertise of the guides was incredibly impressive. We were looked after well, and they made sure we got the absolute most out of our limited time.
Adventure of a lifetime
No praise can be too high for the wonderful guides and porters we had on our trek and also the superb staff at the lodges on the Ghandruk Loop. We would question if this was 'gentle' trekking however as we all found it far from gentle but lived to tell the tale! On the first full day for example we climbed up and down 4,500 steep stone steps so perhaps the word gentle is not an accurate description at all. Overall though we are so glad we went and the views of the Himalyas take your breath away.
A trip of a life time
From the moment we flew into the Himalaya’s the views were amazing, the trekking took you through rural areas and then into some really remote landscapes where the scenery is truly breathtaking. The trekking was hard at times but worth the effort and it made you feel like you were on top of the world. The tea houses were a welcome site and I was surprised at the choices of food that was offered.
