Clarée Valley Walking Holiday
This was such a wonderful trip and a very special place! The Clarée Valley has got to be one of the most beautiful areas I have been to. It is hiking and photography heaven. Antoine is a brilliant guide, very friendly and a fountain of knowledge. I would love to go back!
Ecuador and the Galapagos
What a fabulous trip! This holiday offers one of the most inspiring and varied experiences of any of Mountain Kingdoms’ many trips. One day you are wandering the colonial streets of Quito and staying in great lodges and hotels, while the next you marvel at the stunning wildlife of the Galapagos Islands, have close encounters...
Walking Ecuador & Galapagos Cruise
Everything about the cruise was fantastic. Each day presented a new experience with a variety of activities on offer. Both guides were very good at explaining what would be happening and their insight into the islands and wildlife made each trip a worthwhile experience.
The beautiful Balkans
What a wonderful trip! The scenery was spectacular. I loved hiking in remote places and staying with lovely local families. The food was fantastic as well. Semir was a great guide who taught us a lot about the region and its history. I can definitely recommend this trip and I am looking forward to returning to the Balkans soon.
Private Trip Matterhorn
Holiday was trip of a lifetime experience with the guys from Mountain Kingdom tailor making this trip to make it as competitively priced and feasible for us to achieve. Their hard work and dedication pays off every time and we are never disappointed with the level of service. They provide the right people to give you the right experience and it's all the subtle things they do behind the scenes that really makes a difference. I would never choose anyone else.
Classic Luangwa Walking Safari
This is an excellent trip. We have been on safari before but not with the same amount of walking. Being on foot, the guides could give much more information on how the ecosystem works from lion to ant lion.
A great week of walking with spectacular views
A most enjoyable week in which we clambered up some of the Lofoten's peaks and were rewarded by stunning views in fine sunny weather. The trip fully met our expectations.
Dolomites Trek
The best one week walking trip I have ever been on. Whatever you do add the Dolomites Circuit to your "bucket list". The scenery is stunning, the route well planned and the mountain Refugios all had a bar with ice cold beers to salute the end of the day.
Camino de Santiago
The Camino del Norte has many treasures to discover; the friendly local people, the wonderful local delicacies at fabulous, atmospheric hotels such as Parador de Vilalba and Pazo Santa Maria, walking through rural Northern Spain through pretty forest trails, and of course, arriving at the imposing Santiago de Compostela, to complete the pilgrimage.
Nakasendo Trail
This was a lovely holiday. Travelling everywhere by public transport, staying in a ryokan, minshukus and a temple, and walking every day were unexpected highlights. As well as the Nakasendo Trail itself, we particularly enjoyed our stay at the temple in Koya-san and walking the Yamanobe No Michi trail, as well as visiting Nara and Kyoto.
Wonderful holiday to Cambodia
This was a well organised and wonderfully varied trip. The conversations with local people about their country were part of what made it special for me as well as the many amazing sights. There were some added delights that were a complete surprise, like seeing fireflies on the river at Kampot, delicious food and delightful hotels.
Kumano Kodo trek
We were well looked after.
Druk Path Trek
The trip was well organised and the problems we encountered were dealt with very well.
Well organised trip to Samarkand
What we enjoyed about travelling with Mountain Kingdoms was the small group size. We were the smallest group we saw and for us that made the trip all the more special and manageable. A well organised trip.
Enjoy the Stunningly Beautiful Balkans
If anyone is looking for an alternative to overcrowded routes in popular European mountain ranges the Balkans is certainly it. Mountain Kingdom's '3 Peaks of the Balkans' trek really whets the appetite for further exploration of this stunningly beautiful area. It has all the intrepid hiker could want: incredible scenery, the chance to see flora and fauna in abundance and the opportunity to experience the warm hospitality of the balkan people. I will definitely be returning!
Beautiful scenery and wild flowers, and great hospitaility
A very enjoyable trip. The scenery was beautiful; the wild flowers – gentians, orchids, primulas, geums, etc – provided the best display we have ever seen (including in the Alps), the accommodation and food were generally very good and the itinerary was well planned (it was good to intersperse the trekking with trips to two beautiful monasteries; and we liked having a full last day of trekking – by contrast, some trips peter out with only a brief walk on the final day). Semir Kardovic was an excellent guide and we enjoyed his company.
Bhutan tour
A well planned adventure in a lovely country. Very high quality transport. I even got to meet the king! Everything seemed to have been thought of.
Annapurna Circuit
Excellent organisation. Our leader Mani was an interesting guide with tremendous knowledge of local customs, flora and fauna. During the trip I wasn't feeling very well and the leader was very supportive. All staff we had contact with in Nepal were most helpful.
Excellent organisation
We value the slick organisation of a Mountain Kingdoms holiday. Transfers, transport and provisions were all excellent. This was our 4th Mountain Kingdoms holiday and lived up to expectations. The Brahmaputra river cruise exceeded expectations. Excellent food, accommodation and service.
A truly memorable Nepal trek
What we enjoyed about travelling with Mountain Kingdoms was everything - from the start being met at the airport, all the transfers went smoothly. The team in Kathmandu and Lukla were excellent. We could not have had any better guides, Chundi and Choomba were brilliant. Knowledgeable and informative, supportive and encouraging when needed. In the evenings they joined in the card games - they really made the holiday. The porters although their English was limited, had a great sense of humour and looked after us brilliantly. The tea houses were good, obviously some a lot better than others, but all were clean and the food was good. A truly memorable trek, the weather was fabulous, the scenery stunning and we even had snow and found snow leopard tracks!
