Judge's Court

The Judge's Court was India's first classified Heritage Country Manor, and offers a rare kind of intimate hospitality. It sits at 2,000ft on the edge of the Himalaya in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh and is owned and run by the grandson of the original Judge. The buildings stand in an orchard of exotic fruits and spices and the hotel also has its own organic gardens that provide much of the produce for its delicious home cooked meals. Behind the striking facade there are 10 guest rooms elegantly furnished to reflect the hotel's colonial heritage. Shaded verandahs around the hotel offer secluded spots with distant Himalayan views, whilst the nearby hamlet of Pragpur makes for an enjoyable excursion especially on market days.
