In Search of Tigers - an Indian Wildlife Tour
Visit three of India's foremost National Parks to look for wildlife, especially the majestic Bengal tiger.

Days 1 - 2 | After an overnight flight to Delhi you will be met on arrival and taken to to your choice of hotel for an overnight stay. In the afternoon you will be taken on a city tour, to include the famous Red Fort and the Jamma Masjid (Friday Mosque). |
Day 3 | This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Jabalpur, one of the major cities of Madya Pradesh state (1hrs 40mins flight). You will be met on arrival in Jabalpur and driven to to Bandavgarh National Park, a drive of 3 - 4 hours, and on to your chosen accommodation. You may have time on arrival for an afternoon/evening game drive. Bhandavghar is a large national park containing a wide variety of habitats ranging from tall grasslands to thick sal forest. It boasts a high density of game, including a large number of tigers, possibly the highest density in India. It is also home to a large number of leopards and sloth bear as well as offering excellent possibilities for bird watching. |
Days 4 - 5 | You will have two full days in Bandavgarh for jeep drives and game safaris within the national park. |
Day 6 | Today you will make the 4 hour drive to Kanha National Park. You will settle in to your chosen accommodation on arrival and then set off an a game drive in the afternoon. Kanha, also known as Kanha Tiger Reserve, is one of India's finest wild life parks. It is famed for its tigers and also boasts large numbers of Barasingha, the swamp deer, and Indian wild dogs. |
Day 7 | Today you will have a full day of game drives and wildlife spotting within Kanha National Park. |
Day 8 | You will have time for an early morning game safari and breakfast at Kanha, before you leave to make the drive to Pench National Park - a journey of 5 to 6 hours. Pench National Park and Tiger Reserve, is famous as the location for Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book, and is home to a wide range of animals many of which featured as characters in that book - including tigers, sloth bear, leopard, hyena, various types of deer and of course monkeys and wolves. |
Day 9 | Another exciting day of game drives and safaris as you look for tigers, other wildlife and birds. |
Day 10 | After a final early morning safari you will say a sad farewell to the jungle and drive to Nagpur, a large city in Maharashtra State. You will be taken to the airport, then fly to Delhi for your final night. |
Day 11 | You will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to the UK, arriving the same day. |
