Gaun Ghar

Gaun Ghar means 'village house', and this old Newari house, with its red-brick exterior and carved wooden doorways has been beautifully restored by local craftsmen to showcase many of its original features. It has 15 simple en suite rooms finished with furnishings made in the locale and you can choose to overlook either the mountain or the bazaar. The hotel has an excellent restaurant serving meals made from locally grown organic produce and employs local staff who take a real pride in the quality of their service. Located in the heart of the traffic-free streets of Bandipur, you can step out to explore the old town or just relax and savour the fabulous mountain vistas from the Gaun Ghar's sun-kissed dining terrace.
