Andean Lodges

Following a trekking route that runs beneath the mighty peak of Ausangate and across multi-coloured Rainbow Mountain, the Ausangate Trek uses four excellent eco lodges to provide a good degree of comfort on the trail. The rustic lodges are tastefully decorated and have cosy en suite bedrooms warmed by wood burning stoves. Alpaca slippers and bio-degradable toiletries are provided for a that extra homely touch. Three generous meals a day are included along with snacks to keep your energy levels up on the trek. Best of all, the lodges are staffed and partly owned by local communities who benefit from 30% of the profits. So not only are the Andean Lodges a superb way to enjoy a rewarding and spectacular trek but they are a genuine sustainable tourism initiative.
